Luis Quintero

DIRECTOR OF RACQUET SPORTS BUCK HILL FALLS


Luis Quintero is an Elite Professional with the Racquet Sports Professional Association, and a certified Pickleball and Paddle Tennis Professional. His international tennis career began in Colombia, where he consistently ranked in the Top Ten nationally from ages 8 to 18 and earned a Top 30 ranking in South America at age 15 while competing in professional events.

He continued his competitive success in the United States, playing collegiate tennis at Shorter University in Georgia, where he qualified for nationals twice and served as team captain. He later transferred to Hunter College in New York City, winning the Conference Championship and being named Most Valuable Player. In 2010, he received the NAIA Champion of Character Award, and in 2012 was recognized as Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Luis graduated from Hunter College in 2013 with a degree in Film and Media Studies.

Since 2021, Luis has served as Director of Racquet Sports at Buck Hill Falls, where he has increased program participation by 40%, revitalized the Junior Tennis Program, enhanced the competitive focus of adult instruction, and strengthened both the Paddle and Pickleball programs.

Previously, he was Director of Tennis at New Canaan Racquet Club in Connecticut, where he led a full program restructuring, established a 10 & Under junior pathway, and helped build a High-Performance program for collegiate-level players. Under his leadership, adult USTA participation nearly doubled, the club hosted additional USTA and UTR tournaments, and a new Pickleball program was launched.

Luis also brings diverse seasonal and international coaching experience from Bogotá, Colombia, Camp Starlight in New York, Nike Tennis Camp in Massachusetts, and Kings Highway Tennis Club in Connecticut. His strong track record in both youth development and adult performance makes him an influential leader across multiple racquet sports.
